Each component can be handled in a different way. Let’s take a look at all the components.   ![Hiding your Septic System Lids](https://www.onsitemgt.com/hs-fs/file-15973697-jpg/images/056-resized-600.jpg)       Septic tanks can be unsightly when concrete lids are on grade or above grade. They can also let surface water infiltrate the septic system which can cause a big problem. They can be cleaned up by installing proper risers on septic tanks and green plastic lids that are bolted down, which can be more durable and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.    ![On Grade Plastic Septic Tank Lids](https://www.onsitemgt.com/hs-fs/file-15974377-jpg/images/144-resized-600.jpg)      Distribution systems can be comprised of pump tanks with risers similar to septic tanks. They must be at grade in case the components in the septic tank require repair. They can be unsightly and when you hit them with a lawn mower they will break if you are not careful. This can not only be unsightly to look at but can be a health hazard as well if untreated sewage is allowed to surface. ![Clean Looking Lateral Cleanout](https://www.onsitemgt.com/hs-fs/file-15977157-jpg/images/k--pictures-dsc00214-resized-600.jpg)         Lateral cleanouts can be cut below grade and encased with sprinkler covers.
